Our Story

Since opening our doors in 2004, Picasso's has been dedicated to bringing people together through exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere.  What began as a passion for sharing authentic family inspired cuisine has grown into one of Jacksonville's favorite neighborhood restaurants.

At Picasso's, we believe great meals create lasting memories.  When we say, "homemade," we mean that it is made, by us, right here at the restaurant.  From fresh ingredients and time-honored recipes to attentive service, our commitment has always been to provide an experience that keeps our guests coming back.

Whether you're joining us for a casual lunch, a family dinner, a celebration with friends, or simply your favorite pizza and a glass of wine, we are honored to be part of your story.

Thank you for allowing Picasso's to serve our community for more than two decades.  We look forward to welcoming you and creating many more memorable moments around our table.

Chef

Our Chef

Chef Chris Evans, a native of St. Louis, Missouri was led to The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY where he was at the top of his class and earned his culinary degree.

Chris was always surrounded by family and friends who regularly shared their joy of cooking. When his mother wasn't preparing great family meals, she'd introduce Chris to fine restaurants and the art of dining out.  She inspired him to become a chef.

Chris has held every position in a restaurant.   His first job was washing dishes in a family owned restaurant in Mobile, Alabama.

Chef Chris' culinary journey was not profoundly shaped by his mother but also by the mentorships of a several renowned chefs across America.

After graduating from Culinary Institute of America in New York he and his wife, Christi, chose Jacksonville to call home.

Chef Chris met Don Brindley, another St. Louisan,  and their friendship started over a meal that Chris had cooked for Don.  What started as a shared appreciation for great food soon grew into a lasting partnership.  In 2004 they brought their vision life by opening Picasso's.
